Are you planning a corporate event for your staff? A birthday party? A march or fundraiser? Maybe it's a festival or art show that you need coverage for... or maybe it's just the wedding dance party and some candids! Whatever your event, I want to be there to make artistic photographs. I will come with a second shooter if you choose, and we will be flies on the wall with badass camera gear. From the main stage to the table details and everything in between, no part of this important event will go unnoticed and unphotographed!

FAQ

Will you be in the way?

A. My ideal position is "fly-on-the-wall." I x will definitely get into things when needed for a shot - an up-close here and there, especially for those details - but we have zoom lenses for a reason! My second shooter and I gravitate toward the edges of the scenes and shoot in. We are always looking for the photograph and rarely pose. Event photography from my point of view is mostly documentary style with a touch of style. Since we aren't setting up lighting it's as easy as pie and you'll likely barely notice us.

Do you use flashes?

A. Yes. We will have flashes with us, especially for those darker venues and events. However, if there is a staged event or any reason you don't want us to use flashes, we have ways to get around that with lenses and settings. We will chat more about this in the consultation!

How long will it take to get my photos?

A. In general, about a month. This is give-or-take, though, because certain times of year are busier than others. (You understand!) The good thing about event photography is that the photos usually take less time to edit because of the documentary-style leaning!

Where will we do the shoot?

A. That's entirely up to you. We can shoot outdoors or indoors.

Will you travel?

A. Yep, anywhere within the puget sound area: as far east as Northbound, as far north as Whidbey Island, as far south as Olympia and as far west as Port Angeles. Further than these places I will add on a $25 travel fee. Ferry fee will be tacked onto your invoice.

Can I use all these photos to make money?

A. It's a bit complicated; we can chat more about this. I technically still own the rights to the photos even after I deliver your digital copies. The photos that I deliver to you are yours to use for social media platforms, emails, and website content, print, etc. However, you cannot use any images that I take to sell to ads and/or to make money directly for your business. There's a bit of a fine line, but it's all in my contract. And like I said, we can talk more about this in person. I can draw up a specific contract if you'd like to use these for ads or to sell -- you can buy the rights to the photos from me. Obviously they're used for promotion for your business if posted on social media, but selling the photos to another entity (like a magazine or newspaper) is a completely different story.

Is there a time limit in either direction?

A. The set rate helps here! I usually say 12 hours it the absolute limit that my body and fingers can take in a day. But we can chat. ;)
